About the event

Jiyūzan will sit in front of the Sangha and will be expected to respond to any questions presented to him by the Sangha. This ceremony can often take a faster pace than a normal dharma talk. The entire community will be invited to ask questions of our Shuso. This will be Jiyūzan's official Shuso. Anyone who may eventually function as a teacher at SokukoJi will go through at least one Shuso ceremony. Sokuzan, Sokuzan’s son Takudo Mason, Chiezan, Kozan and Shoka have all previously been through this ceremony.
